Seminar, Bachelor and Master theses

Seminar papers, Bachelor's theses and Master's theses can be assigned at the Department of Civil Law and Corporate Law after consultation with Prof. Dr Janine Wendt or Prof. Dr Anette von Ahsen. The allocation of topics varies depending on the supervisor. Prof. Dr. von Ahsen announces topics. These can be found further down the page. In order for Prof Dr Wendt to be able to supervise a thesis, we require a topic proposal from the candidates in the field of civil law and corporate law. In addition to the application form, a short synopsis of max. 2 pages outlining the aims of the thesis must also be submitted. An initial bibliography and an overview of the contents must also be included. The application form for seminar papers, Bachelor's and Master's theses is available from the Student Office. We generally assume that you will approach us with your own topic proposal for your thesis. Therefore, the following overview of topics serves merely as a suggestion for possible theses in our department. For Master's theses, it may also be possible to combine two proposals from one subject area.

All topics have been assigned. New topics will be announced in August, for which you are welcome to apply.

Jointly supervised theses can be assigned as part of co-operation projects with companies. If you are interested in this, please send me your CV and the other usual documents and feel free to contact me!

Please apply for one or more topics (please indicate priorities!) using the application form, which you can also download from our website from Tuesday, 6 May 2025. An e-mail is sufficient for applications before 6 May.
