Klima- und Umweltmanagement 2
Lecture

Course Information

Name Klima- und Umweltmanagement 2
Description In addition to climate management, corporate environmental management primarily includes approaches to reducing environmental pollution, promoting the circular economy and protecting ecosystems and biodiversity. In the lecture, these topics are addressed and the resulting need for action and design options for companies are discussed against the background of the “planetary boundaries”. In addition, instruments such as life cycle assessments and relevant environmental management indicators are discussed. A further focus is on corporate reporting. In this context, the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) presents many companies with extensive obligations. At the same time, current changes to European regulations are making implementation more difficult. The resulting opportunities and challenges will be discussed in the lecture.

The course combines lectures with exercises and case studies that students work on independently. In addition, several guest lectures allow the content to be discussed with company representatives from the field.
