Klima- und Umweltmanagement 1
Lecture

Course Information

Name Klima- und Umweltmanagement 1
Description Climate and environmental management are playing an increasingly important role for companies, politicians and society. This is due to stricter laws, growing stakeholder expectations and global sustainability goals. In the lecture “Climate and Environmental Management 1”, the focus is on climate management, which poses major challenges for most companies, but also offers opportunities in some cases. These are analyzed and, for example, climate protection strategies and approaches to measuring and controlling greenhouse gas emissions are discussed. Another topic is science-based climate targets. In addition, possibilities for offsetting emissions are examined and approaches to climate management in the supply chain are considered.

The course combines lectures with exercises and case studies that students work on independently. In addition, several guest lectures allow the content to be discussed with company representatives from the field.
