Corporate Law
research focus

In corporate law, one focus of interest lies on the keywords “compliance” and “regulation”. In addition to the basic agreement to abide by rules and the corresponding measures to ensure lawful corporate management, the Chair is concerned with the term “Corporate Social Responsibility” (CSR), which goes beyond this. Questions to be examined include for instance whether companies can become “good corporate citizens” through incentives. The remuneration policy of the Board of Management and the Supervisory Board is also under scrutiny.

Finally, a further research focus is the law of the annual general meeting, which is commented on from a comparative legal perspective from an Austrian perspective (Münchener Kommentar zum Aktiengesetz, Volume 3, Sections 119-121, 126-130, 137-138 AktG).
