Maximilian Lau studied law at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen with a focus on business law. Alongside his studies, he worked at an international auditing firm in the field of financial regulation law.

In addition to his work at the chair, Maximilian Lau currently works as a research assistant at an international law firm in the capital markets practice at the Frankfurt office. His work primarily focuses on issues of capital markets law and corporate law. A particular focus is also on the fields of sustainable business law and sports law.
